Many gathered to watch as a crane lifted large roof sections into place on Redeemer's new Family Life Center.
The roof trusses sat in waiting for a week in the parking lot across from the new building. Delayed by two days, the hoisting of the roof structure finally got under way early morning Friday, August 22.
The crane first lifted the HVAC system into place and then went to work on the roof itself, which was partially pre-assembled into large multiple-truss sections. Each section was carried high into the air so as to clear the utility poles and wires running along Fifth Street.
